牛牛和搶莊牛牛的玩法與規則其實並無相差太大，只是牌型與對應倍數玩法有些不同，那麼在搶莊牛牛裡該怎麼判斷自己是否為贏家？搶莊牛牛決定輸贏的方式是為在該局搶莊牛牛遊戲裡，莊家手裡五張手牌所組合的牌型點數大小，來與在該局遊戲中的各位閒家手裡五張手牌所組合的牌型點數大小來進行牌型比較，牌型較大者立即在本局搶莊牛牛裡勝出；但倘若莊家與閒家牌型相同時，那麼則會比較雙方之間手裡的五張手牌點數，最大點數者則為勝利者；不過如果在搶莊牛牛裡，莊家與閒家手牌皆是為四炸牌時，則會計算雙方手中的四張手牌的相同牌面的點數大小來區分勝負，偌點數依舊相同，那麼就會比較雙方手牌裡，點數最大的手牌花色，較大者則會在搶莊牛牛裡勝出。在搶莊牛牛裡牌型大小順序分為：五小牛-四炸-五花牛-四花牛-牛牛-牛九至牛一-無牛，根據這牌型順序來判斷勝負。那麼在搶莊牛牛裡四炸大小的牌型順序又是為哪些呢？四炸大小：四炸K-四炸Q-四炸J-四炸十至四炸A，四炸是為在五張手牌之中，有四張相同的牌加上一張任意點數所組合而成的牌型，在四炸裡不需要有牛。搶莊牛牛裡點數大小順序與牛牛遊戲裡相同，都是皆為：K，Q，J，10，9，8，7，6，5，4，3，2，A，搶莊牛牛裡花色大小並也和牛牛遊戲裡相同，最開始是為黑桃，第二是為紅心，第三是為梅花，最後是方塊。那麼以上就是搶莊牛牛遊戲的勝負判斷了。
