إليك وصفة بسيطة لتحضير  كوكيز الشوفان:
قم بتسخين الفرن إلى درجة حرارة ١٨٠ مئوية... 
في وعاء كبير امزج كوب ونصف من الشوفان 
الخشن ونصف كوب من الطحين ونصف كوب 
من السكر البني ونصف ملعقة صغيرة من 
بيكنج بودر ونصف ملعقة صغيرة من الفانيليا...
أضف ثلث كوب من الزبدة مذوبة والبيضة و
امزجها جيدا حتى تتكون عجينة متجانسة...
إذا كان لديك ربع كوب من الزبيب وربع كوب 
من الجوز المفروم وربع كوب من رقائق 
الشوكولاتة يمكنك إضافتها الآن وتخليطها 
بالعجينة...
ضع ملعقة من العجينة على صواني الخبز 
مع ترك مسافة بين كل كوكيز...
اضغط قليلا على كل كوكيز باستخدام ظهر 
الملعقة لتسطيحها قليلا...
اخبز الكوكيز في الفرن المحمى مسبقا لمدة 
١٢ دقيقة أو حتى يصبح لونها ذهبيا...
اترك الكوكيز ليبرد قليلا قبل نقلها إلى رف 
التبريد...
