Because of the recent changes made to mercenaries in patch 2.5, there has been a lot of debate regarding which mercenary is currently considered to be the best. It is generally agreed upon that the Act 3 mercs have vastly improved, but it is generally agreed upon that they are not yet good enough to be considered for use. Recently, I have incorporated a few of them into my builds, and I must say that they function a great deal better than most people appear to be giving them credit for. Having said that, I do not believe that they will ever become the choice of the majority. This article will discuss how to make the most of them, what equipment they should have, and where they fit into the overall picture. There are some unusual circumstances in which they represent the optimal overall choice for a particular configuration. With any luck, this will make it easier for some players to decide whether or not they want to take another look at them and lay out all of their options.

Where they represent the inappropriate option:

First things first, let's address the glaringly obvious point. The time-honored tactic of trading your first-born child and your left nut for a multitude of rainbow-colored opportunities. Then it is still possible to equip an Act 3 merc with gear that utilizes as many sockets as is possible. However, if you are considering these individuals for their overall damage dealt, Diablo 2 items for sale are throwing away a significant amount of resources. The Act 5 frenzy barb will have a significantly higher DPS than any other mercenary. In a similar vein, the Act 2 mercenaries are very well documented thanks to their six different auras, as well as their insight, reaper's toll, and a number of high damage-dealing polearms. In a similar vein, D2 ladder runewords for sale also sell pride and infinity, depending on your financial situation.

If you are thinking about hiring an Act 3 mercenary, the question that needs to be answered is whether or not their abilities will be of greater use to D2R ladder Xbox items than those of Act 2 and Act 5 mercs. The answer to that question is typically not yes, but in the vast majority of instances, the answer is no. Both of them deal more damage than the Act 3 mercenaries and provide superior support options in terms of the Act Auras and the mana regeneration of insight. Having said that, after reading what follows, you might find something that interests D2R XBOX Series runewords enough to try out and evaluate whether it better meets your requirements.

The Fundamentals: Each of the Act 3 mercs comes equipped with three sorceress spells that are specific to their element.

Ice Bolt, Glacial Spike, and Shiver Armor are all abilities that Cold possesses. Charge bolt, lightning, and a static field are all components of lightning. Last but not least, Fire now possesses the firebolt, fire ball, and enchantment spells. In addition, all three of them are proficient with swords, armor, helmets, and shields respectively. The Act 3 mercenaries typically have the lowest base levels of strength and dexterity compared to the other mercenaries that are available. On the other hand, they have a defense that is adequate and the highest overall base elementa resistances of any of the options that are available.

The Polar Express:

Therefore, the Ice mercenary is equipped with a glacial spike, an ice bolt, and Shiver Armor. Overall, on a per-spell basis, he has the least amount of attack damage out of the three. Nevertheless, each and every spell that he casts will either chill or freeze the target, rendering them helpless for at least a second. He is skilled at bringing his opponents to a halt and preventing them from continuing their advance. In a similar fashion, he will also cause a healthy number of them to shatter upon death, ensuring that there are no corpses left behind for those annoying foes to revive from. If your character needs corpses for some skills, such as redemption, feeding the druid's summons, find item, or anything else a necromancer does, this can work both ways. If buy D2 items are not one of those builds, then he is a good option for  to consider if buy Diablo 2 ladder runewords want to prevent yourself from becoming overwhelmed and want to slow things down.

The Ice Mercenary's shiver armor provides him with a significant boost to his defenses. It is possible that he could have the highest potential for that stat in the game if he had a decent base defense from the gear he was using. In a similar fashion, any missile attack that hits him will immediately be met with a 1.5-second freezing is bolt as retaliation. This grants him the ability to simultaneously freeze a large number of foes at a distance and slow down the overall pace of the battle. The overall damage that an ice merc deals is relatively low in comparison to that dealt by the vast majority of other mercenaries. This is the primary disadvantage of using an ice merc. Second, in relation to everything that is resistant to the cold, he is essentially a walking TV dinner. Last but not least, as was mentioned earlier, he wipes out between 40 and 60 percent of the hostile cover, meaning that certain classes will no longer have access to it for the relevant skills.

Any melee character that wants the opponents they are fighting to be chilled and slowed while they are in combat is a good candidate for using him. In a similar manner, he engages in combat at a distance, which allows him to avoid being directly threatened by his enemies, in contrast to a holy freeze act 2 merc. In addition to this, his resistances and defensive potential are higher than those of an Act 2 merc or an Act 1 cold arrow rouge. When it comes to overall crowd control, he can be used much more quickly than an ice rouge because he attacks very quickly and can be brought to bear much more quickly than they can. On the other hand, he is unable to use the insight rune word like the mercs in Act 1 and Act 2.
